Culicidae is a family under the order Diptera. The organism in this familyis often called a mosquito, and it is a tiny flying insect with a sting suction mouthpart. Female mosquito usually feed on human blood,and mosquito-borne diseases and their equivalents kill more than 1 million people each year and infect more than 1 billion people, contributing to debilitating pain, brain damage, blindness, and other serious consequences.

Mosquitoes transmit yellow fever is also called “the initial viral hemorrhagic fever” , Mosquitoes are found on all continents except Antarctica and they reproduce fast and have a high prolification rate. They can lay eggs six to eight times in their lifetime, with 200 to 300 grains each time.

How can we kill mosquitos safely and effectively?

There was a mosquito buzzing and flying all the time, stopping on my face from time to time. I couldn't sleep and I was upset. Mosquito repellent smells too strong, making me dizzy. Coils are okay, but they need to be ignited, which is troublesome. I used the mosquito coils once, and accidentally knocked over the plate. Insecticides are not very good to one's health although they work well. I have to wipe the blood on the wall off or it would be disgusting.

IDEATION

SKETCH

Pitcher is a plant that feeds on mosquitoes, flies and other insects. It can secrete fragrance and attract insects. The mouth of the bottle is smooth, and the insects will fall into the bottle, drowned by the liquid secreted from the bottom of the bottle. The pitcher will decompose the nutrients of the insect body, and gradually digest and absorb them. It’s my inspiration. I hope that through bionic design, my products will be effecient in catching and killing mosquitoes.
